…and surprisingly it still fits!!!
Not only do we have to make sure the dress zips up completely, the alterations lady has to make sure that my measurements have stayed exactly the same. How much pressure is that!? I am so fearful about what might happen after the Euro trip.
The receptionist who happened to be supervising my fitting today kept commenting on how gorgeous the gown is, and how the bodice fits so perfectly. And she kept asking me how I feel in it. I feel so guilty about not loving this dress 100%. It does have a certain sentimental value because my mom and I had gone to pick it out together. The dress is so easy to wear. It has a flattering silhouette which would look as good on a rail thin figure as it would on a goddess figure. It’s a no brainer. It has a very traditional silhouette, and the only thing unique about it is the subtle detailing and the treatment of the fabric. It’s pretty. It’s just not me. But I told her it is a lovely dress, because it is. Lovely.
